Privacy policy

Last updated September 27, 2026

Advanced Foundry Tech LLC (“we”, “us”) runs WorksheetIQ. Spreadsheets often hold confidential business information and personal information about other people, so this policy says plainly what we collect, what we use it for, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies when you visit the site, upload files, create an account, buy something or contact us.

The short version

  • Your uploaded files, and the files we make from them, are deleted automatically: within 24 hours if you are not signed in, and within 7 days if you are.
  • We never use your files to train AI models, and neither does anyone we work with. No person reviews your files unless you ask us to help with one.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information, and there is no advertising, analytics or tracking code on the site.
  • You can delete a job, and its files, yourself at any time.

1. What we collect

Your files and instructions. The spreadsheets, CSVs and PDFs you upload, anything you type describing what you want done, and the files we produce. Your files may contain personal information about you or other people; we cannot know everything a file contains. Please do not upload the kinds of sensitive data our terms ask you not to.

About each job. A record of what was done: file names, sizes, row and column counts, column names, which changes were made and how many cells each touched, and the checks we ran. Once your files are deleted it no longer contains the values in your cells.

Your account, if you create one: your email address, your password (held by our sign-in provider and never visible to us), your plan, and when you accepted these policies.

Payments. Stripe takes and holds your card details; we never see or store them. We keep a record of what you bought, when, and its status, and Stripe tells us limited details such as your billing email.

Technical information. Your IP address, browser type, and the requests your browser makes, as recorded in our service logs. To stop the free tools being abused, a one-way hash of your IP address is used to count how many jobs are started; the address itself is not stored with it. We do not work out your location from it.

When you write to us, your email and whatever you tell us.

2. How we use it

To run the service you asked for: to read, clean, merge, convert and compare your files and deliver the result; to create and run your account; to take payments and apply your plan; to answer support requests; to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix faults; to send you emails about your account and billing; and to meet our legal obligations. We do not send marketing email, and we do not use your files to target advertising.

3. AI and your files

Most of what WorksheetIQ does - reading, cleaning, merging, comparing - is ordinary code, and no AI model sees your file. A model is used only when you type a request in your own words, or when we suggest how the columns in your file match an import template. It is then shown your column names and a few short example values from each column, never your whole file.

The model is provided through Amazon Bedrock, inside our own cloud account, in the United States. Under Amazon’s terms for Bedrock, what the model is shown is not used to train any model, is not shared with the model’s developer, and is not stored after the request; we have not turned on Bedrock’s optional request logging. No person reviews it.

4. Who else receives it

We use two companies to run the service, each acting on our behalf:

  • Amazon Web Services hosts the service, stores files and records, handles sign-in, sends account emails, and runs the AI model - all in the United States.
  • Stripe processes payments. Stripe’s checkout page is covered by Stripe’s privacy policy.

Beyond them we disclose information only when the law requires it, when it is reasonably necessary to protect people or the service from harm or fraud, at your direction, or to a buyer or successor if the business is sold or reorganised, who would be bound by this policy.

We do not sell or share personal information, as California law defines those words: there is no advertising or cross-site tracking on the site, and no data is exchanged for anything of value. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

5. Cookies and your browser

We do not use cookies. Your browser keeps, in its local storage, a random session identifier - so work you do before signing up stays yours - and, if you sign in, the token that keeps you signed in. Clearing your browser’s site data removes both. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking code, so there is nothing to opt out of; if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it is consistent with how we already operate.

6. How long we keep it

  • Uploaded files, processed files and working copies: 24 hours when you are not signed in, 7 days when you are - including the preview of your data and the sample values taken from your columns.
  • Job records (no cell values): one year after the files are deleted.
  • Service logs, which record what happened but never your cell values: up to 90 days.
  • Backups: our database keeps a restorable copy for 35 days, so something deleted can remain in a backup for up to that long.
  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it. Records of payments are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • The AI model keeps nothing after each request (see section 3).

Download anything you need before its files expire or before you close your account; we cannot recover deleted files.

7. Security and where it is processed

Files and records are encrypted in transit and at rest with keys we control, each job is accessible only to the account or browser session that created it, access to our systems is restricted to what each part needs, and our logs are built so that the contents of your cells are never written to them. No service can promise perfect security. If you think someone has got into your account, tell us straight away at admin@advancedfoundrytech.com.

Everything is processed and stored in the United States. If you use the service from elsewhere, your information is transferred there, where the law may differ from yours.

WorksheetIQ is not built for health records, payment card numbers or other regulated data, and we do not offer agreements such as a HIPAA business associate agreement.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Delete any job, with its files, from its page at any time.
  • Cancel a subscription from your dashboard at any time.
  • Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it and your account, by writing to admin@advancedfoundrytech.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights - for example to know the categories and specific pieces of information we hold, to receive a portable copy, to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising (which we do not do), to limit the use of sensitive information, and to appeal if we refuse a request. We honour these requests wherever you live. We will confirm who you are, usually by replying to your account’s email address, answer within the time the law allows, and never treat you differently for asking. You can ask through an authorised agent where the law permits. Some records - payments, for example - must be kept for legal reasons even after a deletion request.

If a business uploads files containing information about other people, that business decides what happens to it, and requests about that information should go to it first. We will help it respond.

For California residents: in the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (such as email and IP address), commercial information (purchases), internet activity (requests to the service), and whatever personal information you chose to put in uploaded files. The sources, purposes, recipients and retention periods are set out above. We use sensitive personal information only to provide the service you requested.

9. Children

WorksheetIQ is for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell account holders by email before a material change takes effect.
