Supported formats

This tool accepts .csv, .tsv. Free, up to 10MB and the first 50,000 rows. We work out the encoding and the separator from the file itself, so a semicolon-separated export or one saved in a non-UTF-8 encoding opens correctly rather than as a single column of nonsense.

Questions

Why not just open it in Excel?

Excel guesses at the encoding and the separator, and it guesses wrong often enough to be a daily annoyance — that is why so many CSVs open as a single column, or with “é” where the accents were. We detect both from the file itself and tell you what we found.

Is it really free?

Yes. Converting between formats is a commodity and we treat it as one. No account and no payment, for files up to 10MB. The free version converts up to 50,000 rows; a longer file is converted up to its first 50,000, and we tell you so before you download.

What happens to my file?

It is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted automatically - within 24 hours for anonymous use. We never use anyone’s spreadsheet data to train models. You can delete a job and its files at any time from the job page.
