How it works

Supported formats

This tool accepts .xlsx, .xls. Up to 5 workbooks at a time without an account. We work out the encoding and the separator from the file itself, so a semicolon-separated export or one saved in a non-UTF-8 encoding opens correctly rather than as a single column of nonsense.

Questions

What about workbooks with multiple sheets?

You choose which sheets to process. We show each sheet with its row and column count so you can tell them apart.

What happens to formulas?

The merged file holds the value each formula last calculated, which is what you see on screen, as a fixed number. The Change Log says how many cells had formulas.

Is it free?

Running the merge and seeing the result is free, with no account. Downloading it is part of the paid product, except for workbooks whose columns are already exactly the same - stacking those downloads free.

What happens to my file?

It is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted automatically - within 24 hours for anonymous use. We never use anyone’s spreadsheet data to train models. You can delete a job and its files at any time from the job page.
