.xlsx, .xls · Free, up to 10MB and the first 50,000 rows.

By uploading you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy. Files are deleted automatically.

Free, with no account, up to 10MB. The free version processes up to 50,000 rows: in a longer file it takes the first 50,000, and that is what you download.

How it works

  1. 1Upload your workbook and choose the sheet you want.
  2. 2The values are converted as they appear, including what the formulas last calculated.
  3. 3Download a UTF-8 CSV that opens correctly in Excel, Google Sheets and everything else.

When people use this

  • —A system that will only accept CSV
  • —Getting one sheet out of a large workbook
  • —Preparing a file for an import that keeps failing

Supported formats

This tool accepts .xlsx, .xls. Free, up to 10MB and the first 50,000 rows. We work out the encoding and the separator from the file itself, so a semicolon-separated export or one saved in a non-UTF-8 encoding opens correctly rather than as a single column of nonsense.

Questions

What happens to formulas?
A CSV cannot hold a formula, so we write the value each one last calculated — which is what you see on screen.
Will the accented characters survive?
Yes. We write UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, which is what makes Excel on Windows read it correctly instead of falling back to the local codepage.
What happens to my file?
It is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted automatically - within 24 hours for anonymous use. We never use anyone’s spreadsheet data to train models. You can delete a job and its files at any time from the job page.

Want the data cleaned up before you export it?

The full app handles jobs that need several steps across several files, and can save the whole thing so next month takes two clicks.
