Removing identical rows is free, for up to the first 50,000 rows of a file. Finding near-duplicates — the same customer entered twice with different spelling — is part of the paid product.
How it works

- 3We can also look for records that are probably the same — same email, same phone, name spelled differently — and show you each candidate with a confidence.

Supported formats
This tool accepts .csv, .tsv, .xlsx, .xls. Free, up to 10MB and the first 50,000 rows. We work out the encoding and the separator from the file itself, so a semicolon-separated export or one saved in a non-UTF-8 encoding opens correctly rather than as a single column of nonsense.
Questions
- How is this different from Excel’s Remove Duplicates?
- Excel compares the exact characters, so “Acme Inc ” and “Acme Inc” are two different companies to it. We normalise the whitespace and capitalisation before comparing, and we can go further and find records that are probably the same even where no field matches exactly.
- Will it delete a row I wanted to keep?
- Not without asking. Rows that are exactly identical are safe to collapse. Anything less certain is shown to you as a group, with a confidence and the reason, and you choose Merge, Keep Both or Ignore.
- What happens to my file?
- It is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted automatically - within 24 hours for anonymous use. We never use anyone’s spreadsheet data to train models. You can delete a job and its files at any time from the job page.
